  2. Behind the fence
Behind the fenceAccess to the airfield is the starting point for the proposal.
  3. How can a closed military site become an accessible part of the city? We developed an urban and landscape strategy for the former airfield in Fürstenfeldbruck, taking the runway, hangars and large open areas as our starting point.

The YellowBruckRoad introduces a continuous, walkable route across the site. It opens access to existing buildings and links spaces for movement, gathering and new uses. The airfield can become accessible in stages while retaining its openness and distinctive geometry.

The proposal was developed with Jan Gutjahr and Andreas Pratscher during the IBA Summer School 2025 at TU Munich’s Chair of Urban Design.
